Second in Brussels, tenth at Sanremo, eighth at the Tour of Flanders: Anthony Turgis is a great rider of whom we are particularly proud, one to keep an eye on.

Born in 1994, a professional since 2015, he answered our questions dryly and decisively after giving his all at the great classic that had just ended, earning a precious eighth place.

Who is the Champion of the past that you would have liked to measure yourself against?

If I had to make a choice, I'd say Jan Ullrich, I've always admired him for his strength and charisma.

Who are you inspired by?

Sylvain Chavanel and Thomas Voeckler are models for me, first and foremost because of their style and aggressive temperament.

What are your feelings and considerations in relation to the Northern Monuments of Cycling?

One of my goals is to win the Tour of Flanders. The Northern Classics are particularly suggestive for the atmosphere that is created but also for the dynamics of the race.
